HPAI Reported in Chhukha
BHUTAN - The Bhutanese veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza at a backyard poultry farm adjacent to the national highway in Chhukha.

Follow-up report No. 3 was sent to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) yesterday, 1 March.
Out of 123 susceptible birds, 37 cases were reported. 35 deaths were recorded, while 86 birds were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak has not yet been identified. Several measures have been taken to contain the situation.
