TAIWAN - Three outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza were found in Taichung City and Yunlin County.

By: The outbreak in Yunlin was discovered through abnormal mortality on a farm, whereas the outbreaks in Taichung were found because of suspicious signs on carcasses in abattoirs.
Over 3000 birds died and another 10802 were destroyed to prevent the disease from spreading.
