Arbor Acres Successful Seminar in SA

SOUTH AFRICA - Aviagen, the world's leading poultry breeding company, recently participated in a series of successful workshops in South Africa.

Coordinated and hosted by Arbor Acres South Africa, the seminars consisted of a half day of presentations followed by a luncheon and was held on three consecutive days. The workshop brought together breeder and broiler farmers from across the region to discuss the latest trends in the poultry industry and the vision and goals for the Arbor Acres brand in South Africa.

Specifically, topics for discussion included the value of Arbor Acres and its current performance in the region, genetics for the Arbor Acres bird, grading and uniformity of parent stock flocks, best broiler brooding practices and a global market update for the poultry industry. In attendance on day one of the workshop were breeder farmers. Day two consisted of broiler farmers while day three was a mixture of both. There were a total of 150 attendees over the three days of workshops.

"This seminar and workshops like this one are wonderful opportunities to share information regarding the management of poultry and the future of the industry," commented Richard Armstrong, operations manager for Arbor Acres South Africa. "It also shows the strong level of commitment by Aviagen to support the Arbor Acres brand around the world."

Aviagen remains committed to providing technical support and management advice to distributors and customers locally through regional technical managers and with educational workshops and seminars.
