UK - Noble Foods, the leading egg packer and processor in the UK, has announced that it will be using only British Lion Quality Eggs for the products processed by the company’s Egg Products Division, effective from January 2010.

An industry first, the move, will provide reassurance against food safety issues by applying the compulsory vaccination against Salmonella, whilst continuing to promote and support British farmers.

With Noble Foods already using only British Lion Quality eggs in its shell egg division, the company is now planning to ensure a chain of safer products across the business.

Ian Jones, Sales and Marketing Director, at Noble Foods' Egg Products Division, says: "Being able to trace the eggs back to the farm is something that is extremely important and we want to be able to give this reassurance to all of our customers. As the leading egg packer and processor in the UK we are passionate about supporting British farmers."
