Aviagen Hosts First Latin American Business Conference with Customers

MEXICO - Aviagen Latin America held the first Aviagen Business Conference for Latin America (ABC-LA) customers from 29 March through 1 April in Cancun, Mexico.

hirty Aviagen customers from several countries participated in the event which was dedicated to collaborating on issues affecting several markets including Asia, Latin America, and the US. Discussions of economic importance affecting the poultry industry across regions included the current and future impacts of the grain and ethanol market. In addition Aviagen shared with attendees the most recent performance information on the genetic improvement of its Ross and Arbor Acres products which are popular with customers in Latin American countries.

“In addition to its beauty, Mexico was chosen as the venue for this important event because it is the fifth largest poultry producer in the world and continues to grow in importance,” said Ivan Pupo Lauandos, CEO, Aviagen Latin America. “Participation from customer company executives from nine countries was a fundamental key to the success of this event.”

“The goal of this inaugural event was to share information and experiences in order to promote increased trade among the participants,” added Ullrich Koehler, Business Manager, Aviagen Latin America.

“The positive feedback we received after the Conference exceeded our expectations and will allow us to focus more attention on further improving events of this kind in the future,” said Fabio Carnevale, Marketing Manager, Aviagen Latin America.
