Bulent Tanyildizi, international commercial manager, Middle East and Africa, said: “Aviagen is pleased to recognize great field performance from our Ross customers.

“The excellent results recorded in Iraq by Vano of 424 and 433 EPEF for two broiler flocks is an outstanding achievement.”

The broilers were grown in closed houses with stocking densities ranging between 38 and 42kg per square metre. The houses are tunnel-ventilated and utilise a lighting programme throughout the growing period, together with a nutrition programme, consisting of starter, grower and finisher feeds.

Dr Kakel, CEO of Vano Group, said: “Supplying the proper environment to express maximum genetic potential in Iraq with harsh weather extremes requires the broiler house to be well equipped and insulated. The right nutrition and feed texture is the key to weight gain and FCR.

“Effective use of a bio-security plan along with a good vaccination program maintains the bird health and normal mortality rates. Having the company name in the Ross 400 Club is an honour for us,” he added.
