Zoetis will participate in the VIV MEA conference in Abu Dhabi from February 15 to 17, 2016.

This year’s VIV event is the first to focus on food suppliers and buyers active in the Middle East and Africa.

Zoetis is sponsoring a pre-conference lecture taking place on February 14 on poultry vaccination best practices led by Dr Luuk Stooker, Zoetis International Technical Poultry Manager, and will host a booth that showcases information about Zoetis products.

Dr Stooker’s presentation The Benefits of Good Vaccination Techniques will take place as part of a forum to kick-off the conference titled “Healthy Foundations – A Good Start for Optimal Productivity by International Poultry Production”.

The talk will highlight the importance of educating and auditing technicians to make sure that poultry vaccines are being administered correctly and effectively. Additionally, Dr Stooker will offer detailed advice on specific vaccination methods, including administration through drinking water, sprays, eye drops, subcutaneous, wing web and in ovo injection.

“Dr Stooker’s presentation about good vaccination methods is a great opportunity to educate our customers in the Middle East and Africa about the safest and most effective methods available,” said Mohamed Sela, Business Lead, Zoetis Middle East. “This will be a great way to start the VIV MEA conference, and we are looking forward to connecting with more customers throughout the two days.”

The Zoetis booth, located in Hall 7 (07.D138) of the exhibition, will focus on poultry and ruminant products, including Poulvac IB primer E. coli to control respiratory problems, the Pulvac Bursine range, Cydectin antiparasitic for ruminants, Draxxin and the clostridial vaccine range (Ultrabac, Ultrachoice8, One Shot Ultra 8). The booth will include audio visual presentations on strategic ROTECC for anti-coccidial and in ovo injection equipment.
