COMPOSITION
LAYERMUNE® SE is an inactivated bacterial vaccine (bacterin) that contains multiple selected strains of Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) to aid in the prevention of SE infection of internal organs and colonization of the intestinal tract.
INDICATIONS
LAYERMUNE® SE is indicated for the use in breeding and laying chickens at
least 12 weeks of age to aid in the control of disease caused by SE.
LAYERMUNE® SE aids in the reduction of colonization by SE strains of:
- the internal organs, including the reproductive tract, the ovary and consequently
the egg contents
- the intestinal tract thereby reducing salmonella shed in the environment and
egg shell contamination.
LAYERMUNE® SE has proven efficacy against all SE phage types including the
highly invasive phage type 4.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
LAYERMUNE® SE is administrated to chickens by the subcutaneous route under the skin on the back of the neck. The dose is 0.25 ml (1/4 cc) per bird.

- Store vaccine between +2°C and +8°C or 35°F and 45°F
- Protect from light
- Do not freeze
