Desvac Kit 1
Desvac Kit 1 is a knapsack sprayer for coarse spray (big droplets) vaccination of poultry. Thousands of Desvac Sprayers are in use for many years now. The sprayer is generally used for spray vaccination of poultry against respiratory diseases (ND/IB/TRT). For an effective spray vaccination the size of the droplets must be controlled. For this purpose we control the spray pressure and use calibrated nozzles.
Desvac Kit 1 has a capacity of 15 litres and the pump system is placed on the outside of the tank (good for hygiene reasons and easy for maintenance). Spray pressure is obtained quickly but you must pump regularly while spraying to maintain this pressure. To control the pressure you can use the pressure regulator with a manometer. The sprayer comes with a telescopic spray lance of 50 -100 cm (20-40 "). We also supply a double nozzle holder. Using a double nozzle holder enables you to double the spray volume without changing the droplet size. If you prefer, you can also work with a single nozzle. The sprayer comes with 3 sets of 2 nozzles. If you want to change the droplet size, it is recommended to change the nozzle. Always ask advice of a veterinarian or vaccine manufacturer concerning the droplet size to be used in your particular situation. Desvac Kit 3 is the smallest knapsack sprayer in our range and is recommended for use in smaller farms (up to 5000 birds). The sprayer is generally used for coarse spray (big droplets) vaccination of poultry against respiratory diseases (ND/IB/TRT). To control the spray pressure the sprayer comes with a pre-set pressure valve and the spray pressure is fixed at 2 bars (28 PSI). If the pressure drops below 1.5 bars (21 PSI) the equipment will automatically stop spraying.
Desvac Kit 3 has a capacity of 5 litres. Spray pressure is accumulated in the tank and the maximum tank pressure is 4 bars (57 PSI). The sprayer works with one nozzle at a time and has a spray lance of 50 cm (20"). The sprayer comes with 3 calibrated nozzles. If you want to change the droplet size, it is recommended to change the nozzle. The Desvac Spray Fan is an air-assisted hand-held spinning disc sprayer. Using the Controlled Droplet Application technique (CDA) it generates homogeneous droplets of approximately 70 microns. This is considered as a fine spray. It is not really recommended for priming vaccinations but mainly used for repeat vaccinations against IB, ND and TRT. The droplets are generated by a spinning disc. A fan placed just behind this disc pushes the droplets towards the birds. The Spray Fan can push droplets up to 5 meters far.
The capacity of the tank is 1 litre which corresponds to 10 minutes of vaccination. With the Desvac Spray Fan you can vaccinate approximately 20.000 birds in half an hour. It is possible to change the flow rate. However, this will not significantly change the droplet size. The spray fan comes with a battery and a charger. A battery in good condition can be used one and a half hour before recharging is needed. Dimensions: 38 x 31 x 35 cm, weight 12 kg. Desvac Hatch Spray 
The Desvac Hatch Spray is a semi-automatic cabinet sprayer, which can be used for spray vaccination of day old chicks. The frame is made of stainless steel and uses a roller system for light handling of the crates. You can adapt the height of the machine to your convenience.
The vaccine bottle is autoclavable and has a capacity of 5 litres. We use a four nozzle system and according to the nozzles you use you can generate droplets with an average droplets size of 137 up to almost 300 microns. We recommend a minimum spray volume of 15 ml but if you want you can reduce this according to your own requirements. The maximum spray volume is set at 24 ml per spray. The cabinet sprayer is equipped with a counter that counts all the crates you have sprayed. For the operation this cabinet sprayer needs compressed air supply of 4 – 9 bars (57 – 128 PSI). Although the air used for the system does not come in contact with the vaccine, the air is filtered twice (automatic purge filters) in order to guarantee good functioning of the machine. We have placed a stainless steel collection plate under the roller system to collect any excess of spray liquid. You can use our water sensitive paper to check correct spray coverage of the crates. The atomist 1026 is an electric atomiser that produces a very fine spray. We also call this aerosol. The average droplet size can be set from 20 - 50 microns according to the machine's settings. The machine always must be connected to a 220 V plug and can blow the droplets up to a range of 10 meters.
The atomist is used with good results in repeat ND vaccinations and some Mg vaccines can also benefit of the excellent small droplet size. Other applications of this machine are the atomisation of chemical products or insecticides. In all situations it is important not to use any inflammable products.
