Planned poultry processing plant shuttered
GEORGIA - Cherokee Foods, Marietta, Georgia, planted to open a chicken processing plant in Johnson Country, Georgia. The chicken processing plant would make chicken nuggets for the federal school lunch program. It was supposed to bring at least 100 jobs to the area. The company planted to open the facility in October. Now the facility sits idle. An eviction notice is attached to the front gate.
