Nineteen participants representing ten countries attended Aviagen's 42nd Arbor Acres Production Management School held at the University of Alabama in Huntsville from May 23-June 18. During the course, attendees from Australia, Bulgaria, China, Guatemala, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Pakistan, South Korea and Thailand came together to learn from Aviagen professionals and industry experts through a series of presentations, labs, and workshops.

Students gain hands-on experience while visiting broiler and breeder facilities throughout Alabama.
Participants were also able to apply what they learned in the classroom by taking field trips to breeder and broiler facilities throughout Alabama. Because of the many different countries and climates represented, the school provided a great opportunity to learn not only from instructors, but also from each other's experiences.

"This was such a great experience for me," said Albena Komitova, recent course graduate and production coordinator from Pilco Ltd in Razgrad, Bulgaria. "The course has helped me tremendously in terms of the valuable information and excellent advice provided. I really enjoyed the time I spent with the instructors and the other participants and appreciated the professional manner in which the course was conducted."

Over the last 40 years, more than 800 men and women from over 100 countries have completed the Arbor Acres Production Management School. This year, nineteen participants graduated from the school and received certificates of completion.
