Georgia Poultry Prices Steady

GEORGIA - The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 75.25 cents based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 1/2 to 3 pound birds.

Seventy-five percent (representing 859 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 73 cents to 76.50 cents with a preliminary weighted average of 75.10 cents f.o.b. dock or equivalent.

The market is steady and the live supply is adequate for a good to normal demand. Average weights are ranging mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter Thursday is 5,098,500 head. This compares with 5,107,000 head last Thursday.
