Big Dutchman AG Appoints New Board Member
GERMANY - Sven Guericke from Oldenburg has been appointed Member of the Board of Management of Big Dutchman AG. As of October 1, 2005, the 48-year-old graduate of agricultural engineering will be responsible for the areas of production coordination and logistics at the world market leader for feeding and housing equipment.
"With Sven Guericke we have won another well-known expert for the Big Dutchman Group" says Chairman of the Supervisory Board Josef Meerpohl. "With his support, we are going to speed up and further develop our successfully started concept of the Big Dutchman logistics service centres around the world. At the same time, we will be making more room for strategic initiatives in other important business areas."
Sven Guericke has a lot of experience in the agricultural and food industry. In the past, he has worked in several top positions in production and logistics, as well as purchasing and procurement. Mr. Guericke has been working as managing board member of the highly renowned Nordmilch eG, Bremen up to now.
Furthermore, the new BD logistics board member has been a very committed honorary supporter of the agriculture and food business in Lower Saxony and especially the Weser-Ems region. Amongst others, as a member of the control committee of the Lower Saxony competence centre for food industry (NieKe) in Vechta.
The Board of Management of Big Dutchman AG is now composed as follows: Bernd Meerpohl (Sales & Development), Uwe Heider (Sales & Marketing), Kai Wehmeyer (Finance, IT & Administration) and Sven Guericke (Coordination of Production & Logistics).
