Georgia Poultry Prices

GEORGIA - The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is 72.25, based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2 to 3 pound birds.

Eighty-four percent (representing 879 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 68.59 to 73.50 with a preliminary weighted average of 72.09 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is weak to steady and the live supply is adequate for a light to normal demand.

Average weights are ranging desirable to occasionally heavy, but are mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter Friday is 4,382,800 head. This compares with 5,345,200 head last weekend.
