The two-day program brought together more than 30 Ross customers from 12 countries across Asia for what proved to be the most successful meeting to date.

The meeting focused heavily on many aspects of broiler production. Presentations included topics such as future trends and factors affecting FCR, the latest developments in broiler management, and fascinating insight into incubation and hatchery practices. Also, for the first time, there were discussions about the growing importance and influence of processing and the ramifications for broiler producers.

"We are very appreciative of the support our customers have for the Ross Asia Association," said Paul Gittins, vice president for Aviagen Asia. "This meeting is the ideal forum for them to gain a great understanding of key trends in the business and a warm, friendly atmosphere to exchange ideas and experiences."

Ross continues to expand across Asia with new markets opening in Bangladesh, Mynamar and Nepal. This year, many new members to the Association were in attendance, including delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietnam and China.

"The Ross bird is becoming increasingly popular in many Asian markets," said Mr. Gittins. "With the impressive product performance and outstanding technical expertise there to support our customers, I am very confident about the future prospects for growing our business."
