UAE bans Suffolk poultry
UAE - Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Kindi, the UAE's Minister of Environment and Water, has placed a ban on the importation of live birds and poultry products from Suffolk in the UK, according to the WAM news agency.
The move is a precautionary one following the outbreak of the deadly H5N1 strain of bird flu at a turkey farm in Suffolk, where 160,000 birds have been culled.
