"I would like to extend a big 'thank you' to Koka's excellent team for their superb work with their Ross stock."

Jonny Harrison, Aviagen's Area Technical Manager

The award was presented at the annual technical seminar, co-hosted by Aviagen and Koka and attended by 70 Koka personnel, which included presentations on topical subjects for the Croatian poultry industry: Jonny Harrison, Aviagen's Area Technical Manager, gave an overview of the UK Broiler Industry and an interesting insight into European trends and market developments. The emergence of niche markets for special poultry products was of particular interest to the audience. Tore Mercan, European Technical Service Manager, highlighted the critical inputs needed to enhance fertility, and Ian Dowsland, UK Technical Manager, discussed ventilation systems.

Awards were presented to both the farm manager and the company for their outstanding performance. The company award was accepted by Mr Miljenko Kostanjevec, Koka's Production Director, who commented: "We are very proud of winning the Ross Regional Broiler Award and are delighted with the performance of the Ross birds which continually produce outstanding results and provide us with year-on-year improvements and increased bottom-line returns."

Jonny Harrison added: "I would like to extend a big 'thank you' to Koka's excellent team for their superb work with their Ross stock. Their exemplary results show what can be achieved with the successful combination of a great product and first-class management.

We are grateful to Koka for providing us with their flock performance data. This customer feedback is vital for us to develop our products and make sure that our customers receive the products and the service they require."
