Jari Leija, executive vice president of HK Ruokatalo’s poultry business, has been appointed managing director and member of the HKScan management team.

Outgoing managing director Esa Mäki will return to his earlier post in heading and developing HK Ruokatalo’s poultry business.

Mr Leija joined HK Ruokatalo in 1993. Prior to his current position as executive vice president of the poultry business, Mr Leija’s responsibilities at HK Ruokatalo included production and logistics.

The aim of the transition is to capitalise on the overall experience and expertise of Mr Leija in the deployment of the final stages of the Finnish restructuring effort.
