International Course on Incubation

GERMANY - The International Course in Incubation Biology and Management will be held in Hanover on 9-12 November 2008 to coincide with the EuroTier 2008 trade show.

Course leaders are Professor Eddy Decuypere (KU Leuven, Belgium) and Dr Piet Simons (World's Poultry Science Association; WPSA).

Objective

The incubation conditions that resulted in the highest hatching percentage of fertile eggs were largely determined and studied on an empirical basis more than half a century ago. These conditions have remained unchanged and unchallenged with few exceptions until now, but rather recently new questions, doubts and facts are questioning the common practice of incubation.

Therefore it is more than appropriate to focus on all these aspects in an international course on incubation biology and management, and its mutual interaction.

Target Group

Hatchery managers, poultry biologists, incubator manufacturers, engineers, poultry breeding companies, technical managers of poultry integration companies, veterinarians, researchers and teachers in poultry science are invited to this course.

Registration, Information and Deadline

Fee of €1.995 covers tuition, course materials, certificate and hotel accommodation at registration before 28 September 2008. It also includes drinks and lunch throughout the course and dinner on day 1, and a visit to EuroTier 2008.

Deadline for registration is 28 September 2008. Registration on-line is possible (click here).
