Double-Digit Growth for Brazilian Broiler Meat Exports

In December 2008, broiler exports from Brazil reached 266,598 tons, a 13.42 per cent increase compared to November, according to ABEF, the Brazilian Poultry Exporters Association.
This brought 2008 exports to a new record of 3.645 million tonnes with a value of US$6.9 billion. Compared to 2007, these figure shows an 11 per cent increase in volume and a 5 per cent higher dollar value.
