The Israeli veterinary authority sent Folow up Report No. 1 dated 18 June to the OIE.
It describes one new case of Newcastle disease at Ashkelon in the region of Hadarom - the same region as the earlier outbreak. The new outbreak started on 16 June in a flock of 6,500 breeding turkeys aged 44 weeks. The only clinical sign was a drop in lay (30-55 per cent). There was no exceptional mortality. The number of cases is unknown since all birds appear healthy and there is no way to estimate the number of females whose lay have been affected. Culling will be completed by the end of the week, the report says.
