Stormøllen Becomes New Company in Danish DLG
DENMARK - The DLG Group in Denmark has acquired 70 per cent of the shares in Stormøllen, where Niels van Wyhe has been sole owner and director, through its subsidiary Vitfoss.Stormøllen, which is based in Tureby by Koge, has produced Stalosan, a dry disinfectant, for more than 30 years. This product has been used in Denmark for decades and is sold in over 40 countries.
"Stormøllen and Vitfoss have worked together for many years on the Danish market. For the past eight years, Vitfoss had responsibility for sales abroad.
"The acquisition of 70 per cent of Stormøllen therefore seem a natural extension of the close cooperation. Niels Van Wye continues as CTO of the company. He will focus on a number of exciting development projects that are in the pipeline," said Asbjørn Børsting, CEO of DLG.
"We have been very pleased to have big mill products in our range and we think that the development projects, working with has a really interesting potential. We are therefore delighted that Niels van Wyhe has agreed to continue in the company and directing research and development, says Jacob Holm, CEO of Vitfoss and now Stormøllen where there are 20 employees.
Stalosan is a very effective disinfectant is effective against many different microorganisms, which are often present in stable environments.
Besides Stalosan, Stormøllen manufactures liquid vitamin products and mineral mixtures for horses. These products are manufactured in Tureby by Koge, while Stalosan products manufactured at its factory in Løvel near Viborg.
