The new service announced during the Energy Now exhibition and conference at the Three Counties Show Ground in Malvern this week offers farmers advice on energy efficiency measures that can reduce usage and costs on the farm and also advice on the most appropriate forms of renewable energy systems to provide alternative income streams.

The new scheme, which will be officially launched at the NFU conference in Birmingham next week, will give farmers the opportunity of having an on-farm audit of energy usage.

The NFU has teamed up with renewable energy specialists Fisher German and energy efficiency and contract management experts Farm Energy to provide a complete energy service.

The energy advice service offers farmers an initial free assessment of the farm\\\'s energy needs and potential.
