PARIS, FRANCE - Poultry organization representatives from around the world will meet gather in Paris next month for the spring meeting of the International Poultry Council (IPC).

The meeting is scheduled for 28-30 March at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe hotel.

Members of the IPC will engage in a discussion of various global poultry issues, and representatives of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), and the Codex Alimentarius Commission will give presentations to the assembly. Also, members of the respective IPC member countries will give status updates of the poultry industries in their home countries.

The OIE, FAO and Codex have officially recognized the IPC as the organization representing the global industry. In its previous meeting in Paris in 2010, members of the IPC met jointly with the OIE at its headquarters.

More than 25 countries are represented in the IPC’s membership.

Registration and hotel information is available on line at the IPC website. For more on the meeting, or for membership inquiries, contact IPC Executive Secretary George Winn at gaw@ellijay.com.
