Patio Hot Topic at Poultry Seminars
GLOBAL - The Vencomatic Patio system for broilers has been a hot topic at several poultry seminars over the world. The benefits of the system, in which broilers are hatched and housed in the same environment, have been researched by Vencomatic in cooperation with Wageningen University. Vencomatic presented the outcomes of this research during the seminars.
The Patio system combines an optimal start with an improved environment for the bird that perfectly matches its needs in each specific growing phase. This combination results in a high increase of production efficiency. From hatch to processing, broiler losses decrease over 3 per cent by using the Patio system.
In the first week of February the Patio was presented at the Danish Poultry Congress in Braedstrup, Jutland in Denmark, by Lotte van de Ven, marketing and innovation manager at Vencomatic. One week later, the Patio was presented to the Poultry Focus Asia seminar in Bangkok, by Peter Schreurs, senior export manager Asia at Vencomatic. The response of the attendants of the seminars was very enthusiastic. Many of them were amazed by the level of improvement in the technical results compared to traditional hatching and housing.
