CANADA - Maple Leaf Foods has awarded a subsidiary of Bird Construction Inc a contract to construct a new prepared meat processing facility located in Hamilton, Ontario.

By: The 402,000 square foot plant will be the largest and most technologically advanced of its kind in Canada and is expected to achieve LEED® Silver environmental certification.
Construction has commenced with an expected completion date in 2014.
