Santrev Peru

Luke Trevanion and fellow Santrev director Richard Sanday recently travelled from Australia to attend the Peru Poultry Congress that was held early in September. Along with the sales team, they attended farm visits to tunnel ventilated and conventional poultry sheds and the outcomes from the visit looks bright.

Full time agents Aralli Villanueva and Jason Kelly are proud to be representing such a proven innovative team and are keen to progress the industry to worlds best practice. “I am very excited to be part of the Santrev team in South America especially at this time when the industry and in fact the economy on the whole is booming. We’ve had a great response,” says Aralli.

Limas’ chicken consumption is 60kg per person per year and the Peruvian poultry industry grows at a rate of 10% per annum. “That’s a number we definitely want to be a part of,” says Director Luke Trevanion. “We are extremely positive about market entry here and enthusiastic about sharing SANTREV know-how and developing long term working relationships with growers across the country and the continent,” says Aralli.

The efforts of the South American sales team have proved to be successful with local growers. Luke and Richard attended a meeting with five of the top poultry companies in Peru; San Fernando, Avinka, Redondos, Molina La Perla, and Santa Elena. “It’s a fantastic endorsement from the local industry to have been welcomed so graciously,” says Luke.

“We’re thrilled to have such a talented sales team representing Santrev in Latin America as a result of consumer demand for Santrev to provide quality poultry housing across the globe,” Luke and Richard did their part to experience the rich culture whilst travelling; sampling the local delicacies of alpaca and guinea pig, adding that it wasn’t quite the taste of chicken that they’re used to.

Luke and Richard have since returned back to Australia, as Luke is finalising the Santrev exhibition for the VIV China in Beijing.
