Clemson University Receives Grant
US - Clemson University recently received a $2,500 student recruiting grant from the USPOULTRY Foundation. The cheque was presented by Dr Charlie Olentine, Executive Vice President of USPOULTRY, to Dr Glenn Birrenkott, Professor of Animal & Veterinary Sciences at Clemson University.

The poultry industry is very important to the South Carolina economy and offers many internship and career opportunities for undergraduates in the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences,” Birrenkott stated.
The USPOULTRY Foundation board approved student recruiting grants totaling more than $160,000 to the six US universities with poultry science departments and 15 other institutions with industry related programs. The Foundation provides annual recruiting funds to colleges and universities to attract students to their poultry programs.
US Poultry & Egg Association is an all-feather organization representing the complete spectrum of today’s poultry industry, with a focus on progressively serving member companies through research, education, communication, and technical assistance.
