Russian Egg Producer Sees Output Lift by One Quarter
RUSSIA – Output at a branch of Komsomolskaya Poultry Ltd has expanded egg production by 24 per cent this year, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture has reported.An increase of 35.5 million eggs has been confirmed on the same period in 2012.
The plant is in the leading broiler holding in the Altai Krai region, producing 44 per cent of the region’s eggs.
Performance data shows each laying hen produced an average of 169 eggs between June and January.
Annual production for 2012 reached 234 million eggs.
