Moy Park grower, Clive Marshall has started work on a new two-house site on his Dungannon farm.

Moy Park launched its broiler expansion programme, ‘Plan to Grow’ as part of the overall business’s strategic plans to grow its fresh locally farmed chicken supply for its UK and Ireland customers.

The programme has since gone from strength to strength with over 250 new poultry houses expected to be under construction by the end of 2015.

Clive Marshall’s new higher-welfare broiler site is currently in the construction stage, with birds expected to be housed early in the New Year.

Mr Marshall said: “This is my first venture into poultry farming; I am currently a part time beef farmer with my father.

“I’ve always had a keen interest in farming and wanted to expand the existing farm business. I felt this opportunity with Moy Park was the perfect first step in making farming a long-term career for me.”
