Award for 2 Sisters for Time and Attendance System
UK – UK based poultry and food processor 2 Sisters has received an award from one of its suppliers in recognition of work carried out to consolidate the business' time and attendance (T&A) systems onto one platform. The award, presented by Kronos – the company which supplies the T&A solution – recognised 2 Sisters’ IT team’s understanding of the Kronos application and their use of it to deliver potential cost saving benefits.
Simon Antonen, programme delivery manager, said: “This is a sign that we are starting to make a noticeable impact in helping the business streamline systems to reduce effort, risk and cost.
“Looking back almost exactly one year ago, our T&A systems outlook was very different here with IT supporting nine different systems managing the attendance of 23,000 colleagues at over 40 different food production factories. We’re now down to four support systems and soon to be three!
“However, IT cannot take all of the credit, winning this award is in no small part due to the hard work and support that the team has had from the sites where changes have been made.”
Danny Simpson, business analyst, worked on the Kronos project and collected the award on behalf of 2 Sisters.
Mr Simpson said: “The award has given me a great sense of achievement and shows the work that we have completed as a department so far has value not only within 2 Sisters but also with Kronos. Within a 12 month period we have developed Kronos and successfully rolled it out in a number of our sites, we have come a long way in a short time.”
2 Sisters has plans to further develop its T&A support with a collaborative pilot of a biometric system with Kronos.
The technology uses finger scans to log and determine who is clocking in.
There is an expectation that this will result in reduced administration from greater swipe accuracy and potential to add self-service functionality at a later date.
