VIET NAM - There has been an outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in Viet Nam.

By: The event occurred in a population of 1500 susceptible village birds. 100 birds died from the disease and the other 1400 were destroyed to prevent the disease spreading.
The outbreak took place in the south of the country, in Dak Lak province.
