Wild Bird Avian Flu Outbreak in Kazakhstan

KAZAKHSTAN - There has been an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Dalmatian Pelicans in Kazakhstan's State Nature Reserve.

There were two cases, and both of the pelicans died from the disease, which was a H5 serotype.

The event occurred in the west of the country.
