Mycoplasma Outbreaks Found in Finland
FINLAND - Outbreaks of two different types of mycoplasma have been found in Finland.There were two outbreaks of Mycoplasma synoviae, which affected 16 birds in a susceptible population of 59 birds on two farms. The farms were hobby farms with both chickens and turkeys.
The same farms tested positive for Mycoplasma gallisepticum, but one additional farm was also affected by this type of the disease. In all there were 34 cases of Mycoplasma gallisepticum out of a susceptible population of 78 birds.
The cases were confirmed by the Finnish Food Safety Authority.
