The visit was organized by Aviagen’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) distributor support team and Pure Breed. Attendees included Al Watania’s Vice President of Production Mohamed Al Shaya, Production and Project Manager of Al Watania Abdelhafed Alqaisse, and PureBreed CEO Moeen Alkhatib. The aim was for Al Watania to see the latest developments in poultry housing suitable to the disease and temperature challenges of the Middle Eastern environment and to see the production of biosecure feed first-hand.

The delegation viewed Aviagen Anadolu’s state-of-the-art grandparent farm and recently completed stand-alone feed decontamination unit, built to further improve biosecurity by producing pathogen-free feed for Turkish grandparent farms. Representatives also met with Aviagen Anadolu teams to discuss best operational and production practices, biosecurity and modern developments in poultry house construction.
