Aviagen® SweChick and its customers get together regularly to share knowledge and latest developments affecting their businesses. On Oct. 1 and 2, 20 veterinarians representing the company’s customers from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark assembled in Edinburgh to learn from one another, addressing good practices for consistently enhancing quality.

Participants took the opportunity to discuss an array of topics, including breeding for greater health, optimising chick wellness at various stages of the production process, and disease prevention. An Aviagen Hatchery Specialist and Regional Technical manager, as well as guest experts, gave their views on these critical subjects.

According to Thomas Carlson, general manager of Aviagen SweChick, “the most important aspect of the sessions was the occasion for customers to share their own experiences and opportunities for the benefit of their industry colleagues, who use the regular meetings as an opportunity to improve each other. Our cross-veterinary meetings are part of regular cross-service meetings encompassing all areas of the business. They are highly beneficial for us and our valued customers. We care about our customers and look forward to our time with them, as our success depends on staying close and listening to their ideas and challenges. Through their valuable input and feedback, we are able to continually improve the quality of our service to them.”
