By: Svetlana Ivanova, director of Koger Ltd poultry farm, said, "The state debt on subsidising for poultry farms in the Almaty region makes 5.3 billion tenge (USD$14.2 million).
"In order to keep the production volume, the sale price of poultry and eggs, it is necessary to double the prices."
The report said that without subsidies, 40 percent of poultry farms in the region would be unprofitable.
