With regional customer support teams on hand from Turkey, Middle East and Africa, Aviagen will showcase its long term commitment to the global poultry industry alongside core product offerings, including Arbor Acres®, Indian River®, Ross® and the Rowan Range®, and will celebrate 20 years of Aviagen Anadolu in Turkey.

From the early eighties, Ross® birds were sold to farmers to provide an additional source of income and also to produce an affordable protein source for the growing population in Turkey. Ross Breeders Anadolu was founded in Ankara in August 1999 and traded successfully in cooperation with Aviagen until 2011 when it became the fully owned Aviagen company “Aviagen Anadolu”. It continues to be the preferred supplier of breeding stock to the Turkish poultry industry today.

Aviagen Anadolu has a long term commitment to investment, product supply, local production expertise and understanding customers. Aviagen Anadolu has modern grandparent farms, two well-equipped hatcheries, a stand-alone decontamination unit and a certified laboratory. Aviagen Anadolu plan to continue investing in their local farm base which will enhance security of supply for the Turkish industry. Production from these farms supplies the two hatcheries in Kalecik and Elmadağ. The newest hatchery underwent an expansion in 2016 to increase the combined capacity to 13 million parent stock annually. There are also eight environmentally controlled trucks to maintain the best conditions throughout the delivery of day-old chicks to customers.

Aviagen Anadolu has also invested in training and building a knowledgeable local team in all phases of the company’s operation. This team is fully supported by the regional and global veterinary, nutrition, incubation and flock management specialists to help them provide the best support and advice for local customers.

The development and growth of Aviagen Anadolu is similar to the industry’s expansion and provides a good indication of the close working relationships and understanding of the future needs of the major customers.
