Aviagen® and Ross® Parent Stock (PS) distributor Moy Park took their Broiler Road Show to customers in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, stopping in Monaghan on Feb. 3 and Newcastle on Feb.4. This event follows a similar breeder seminar that took place in October.

During the show, 120 attendees representing 3 Moy Park customers engaged in discussions following presentations by Aviagen speakers on the latest broiler trends, as well as best management practices for ventilation, lighting and biosecurity and an insight into “Genetics that perform in the real world.” For many participants, the highlight was the close interaction with the Aviagen UK Customer Service and Research and Development teams.

Stuart Thomson, Aviagen’s Head of UK Sales and Technical, reported that he and the team especially appreciated the openness of participants in giving their feedback on their individual experiences. “Each time we engage with Moy Park customers, we gain a greater insight into how best to tailor our support to help them maximize performance, while increasing the health and welfare of their birds.”

Euan Meldrum, Moy Park Sales Manager said: “The Aviagen team did a great job of supporting us and our customers in the market, and the Broiler Road Show provides an ideal opportunity to share knowledge and best practice, as well as the chance to meet other growers. Moy Park is committed to industry leading agriculture excellence and events like this form part of our strategy to offer support and guidance to our customers, so they can achieve the best performance possible, as well as an understanding of what to expect from the Ross 308 going forward.”
