Aviagen Asia Pacific hosts webinar to support the regional industry
Virtual event explores impact of COVID-19 on Asia’s Poultry IndustryIn response to the current global health challenge, Aviagen® Asia Pacific is keeping in touch with customers more closely than ever before. On April 28, the team leveraged technology to engage with more than 250 clients and allied industry representatives via a webinar exploring the economic impact of COVID-19 on Asia’s Poultry Industry.
Aviagen Asia Pacific invited industry watchers Gordon Butland, Director of G&S Agri Consultants, and Robert Claxton, Meat Director of Gira, Consultant and Market Research firm, to give their unique insight on how the current Coronavirus situation will affect the poultry industry in Asia, in both the shorter and longer terms.
Joining them was Rafael Monleon, Business Manager for Aviagen Asia Pacific, who set the stage, giving an overview of the COVID-19 background and an assessment of the situation in Asia. The event was led by Greg Hitt, Regional Technical Manager for Aviagen Asia Pacific. To encourage audience interaction, the webinar used a panel discussion that allowed attendees to send their questions in real time, as well as and poll questions. Both interactive features demonstrated a high level of participation.
“In these extraordinary times, we must find creative ways to maintain a close connection with our customers and provide them with the highest possible level of service,” remarked Dr Monleon. “Our aim is to strengthen their success and create value by sharing the latest knowledge and market insights.”
One highlight of the webinar was the presentation of: “We are always here for you!,” a video where members of Aviagen Asia Pacific showed personal appreciation to customers in their native languages. This message underscores the team’s commitment to support the industry, enabling producers to continue to provide their communities with a nutritious and affordable source of protein. You can watch this video on the Aviagen Asia Pacific web site and the Aviagen LinkedIn page.
Due to the overwhelmingly positive responses from the attendees, the team is planning further webinars in the near future.
Registered attendees will have access to the presentations and a recording of the webinar. Those who did not originally register can watch the recording on the Aviagen Asia Pacific web site and the Aviagen LinkedIn page.
