According to reporting in Reuters, BRF has been told to reinforce measures to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus on production units in Santa Catarina state.

These measures include testing all workers at BRF's Concórdia plant, which processes pork and poultry and is the company's biggest in the state by number of employees, around 5,000, a press representative told Reuters.

BRF began testing its workers more than two weeks ago at several sites, the press representative said. There are currently no BRF plants closed due to outbreaks of the novel coronavirus, but other COVID-19 outbreaks have been reported in processing plants in Santa Catarina.
