This useful new tool helps customers create assets and monitor optimal brooding conditions to get chicks off to a good start.
The document offers an extensive list of equipment examples to successfully monitor the birds and their environment at placement, as well as the methodology for effectively using these devices. Following the list are practical recommendations in areas such as temperature, air speed, lighting, feeders, drinkers and feed form to create an optimal environment at placement. Users are then advised how to assess chick well-being two and four hours after placement by observing key indicators such as crop fill and bird behavior.
