Huvepharma is proud to present B-Act® Buzz, the newest member of the successful probiotic B-Act® range. The novel effervescent tablet increases the ease-of-use and flexibility on-farm, and is compatible with any drinking water system. B-Act® Buzz contains Huvepharma’s trusted and unique probiotic Bacillus licheniformis DSM 28710 strain, which has a proven beneficial impact on animals’ gut health – especially during periods of stress.

The main mode of action of the probiotic is based on preventing dysbiosis, meaning a disruption of the microbiota’s homeostasis. If left unchecked, this can result in secondary issues including necrotic enteritis, lameness due to bacterial origin and/or wet litter. As these challenges reduce animal performance as well as their health status, both mitigation and prevention are key. With Bacillus licheniformis DSM 28710, producers have a powerful tool to do so: the probiotic addresses the challenge at its core, instead of only fighting symptoms.

By adapting the formulation into an effervescent tablet, supplementing probiotics has never been easier. Once dissolved, the probiotic is distributed evenly throughout the drinking water, thus ensuring proper delivery to the animals. Thanks to an adapted amount and type of carrier in the tablet formulation, there is also no risk whatsoever to a proper functioning of the drinking water system itself. Compared to B-Act® in the feed, B-Act® Buzz allows for a quick and more flexible approach to probiotic supplementation via the drinking water. Both formulations can be used for a wide range of poultry, supporting productivity and animal health simultaneously.
