By: Two additional possible avian influenza cases in poultry farms are currently under investigation, reported Reuters.
Several outbreaks of severe avian influenza have been reported to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) recently in Europe and Asia recently. It is a sign that the virus is moving quickly.
The spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza has put the poultry industry on alert after previous outbreaks led to the culling of tens of millions of birds. Outbreaks often lead to trade restrictions.
