Kuwait adopts county regionalisation model for US outbreaks of HPAI

By: On September 21, 2022, Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued administrative decree number 1895 for the year 2022 adopting a regionalisation model to the county level for US outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian influenza (HPAI), according to a recent GAIN report from the US Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA FAS).
The decree lifted a previous ban on all non-heat treated poultry meat, including fresh, chilled, frozen, and processed meat, poultry products and table eggs from 24 US states. The decree also includes changes for other trade partners.
