Aviagen Asia Pacific strengthens “local touch” at ILDEX Indonesia
Indian River and Ross teams demonstrate their commitment to Indonesian poultry producersThe Aviagen® Asia, Indian River® and Ross® teams were pleased to welcome visitors to their booth at the 5th International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing and Aquaculture Exposition (ILDEX). Held Nov. 9-11 in Jakarta, Indonesia, ILDEX Indonesia is a leading industry show, recording more than 9,100 attendees from 30 countries.
Building block of success
Knowledge is key to the success of Indian River and Ross poultry producers in Indonesia and throughout Asia. At ILDEX Indonesia, Aviagen took the opportunity to share the latest developments in areas that are important to their businesses. What’s more, since everyone understands and absorbs information better in their native languages, video clips and graphic material were available in the local Bahasa language. (Earlier this year, Aviagen hosted a webinar to launch management tools and documents in Bahasa.) A Bahasa translator was on hand at the booth to assist with conversations.
There to exchange their knowledge during the show’s seminars were three Aviagen experts:
On Nov. 9, Dominic Elfick, International Product Manager for Aviagen Asia Pacific, discussed how Aviagen’s commitment to “Breeding Sustainability” promotes bird welfare, economic success for poultry producers, and the sustainability of our planet.
The next day, Indian River Technical Services Manager Michael Block presented “Practical tips for broiler growing,” focusing on ways to maximize the performance, health and welfare of Aviagen broilers under the growing conditions of Southeast Asia.
Also on Nov. 10, Dr. Joseph Ng, Senior Technical Services Manager for Indian River, gave his insight on “Managing late fertility and hatchability in broiler breeders.”
“We were thrilled to meet with local farmers, our valued distributors and other visitors at ILDEX 2022. We are committed to their success, and our conversations centered on techniques for maximizing the health, well-being and productivity of Indian River and Ross birds, as well as the economic success of poultry businesses,” said Rafael Monleon, Business Manager Aviagen Asia Pacific.
“Our ILDEX guests were interested to learn about our commitment to ‘Breeding for welfare and sustainability.’ Our decades of progress in balancing feed efficiency and performance with traits that promote animal welfare have been good for the birds, good for our customers and the communities they serve, and good for our planet,” added Larry Blackstone, Ross Brand Manager Asia Pacific
