Karthik Kesavan becomes new Nutrition Specialist for Aviagen Asia Pacific
Part of Global Nutrition Team, Kesavan will strengthen nutrition support to customers throughout Asia PacificThe Aviagen® Global Nutrition Team (GNT) has gained a new member. Temporarily based in Melbourne, Australia, before moving to Asia, Karthik Kesavan will provide nutritional advice to Aviagen customers and internal teams throughout Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Leveraging the latest knowledge based on Aviagen’s in-depth, ongoing research and development efforts, his goal will be to strengthen the health, welfare, and performance of Aviagen birds through optimal feed and nutrition.
Exceptional nutrition expertise, education
With more than a decade of experience in the animal feeding industry – including integrated breeders and layer management, ration formulation, feed milling, and lean manufacturing processes – Kesavan comes to Aviagen from Ridley corporation. There he was responsible for designing feeding programs and nutritional strategies to optimize performance of commercial layers, broiler breeders, and broilers; support research and development projects; and train sales teams. Before then, he worked with Kinross Farm, Australia, where his roles included farm supervision, feed manufacturing, process optimization, and feed formulation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience from Trobe University and a Master of Science in Agriculture from the University of New England, both in Australia.
