Cobb Europe, Sovereign Foods expand distribution in the South Africa
The aim is to expand distribution of Cobb500 productsCobb Europe and Sovereign Foods, one of the largest broiler integrators in South Africa, have signed a multiplier agreement to expand the distribution of Cobb500 products in the South Africa markets, the Republics of Namibia and Lesotho and the Kingdom of Eswatini markets, according to a company press release.
Sovereign has a long history of production and growth in the South African market. With operations in three provinces, Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Limpopo, Sovereign is an influential leader in the poultry industry and the ideal partner for Cobb in South Africa.

Pieter Oosthuysen, senior manager of accounts and technical for Africa, will be handling all marketing, PS sales and customer technical support.

Oosthuysen previously helped establish the Cobb 500 breed in South Africa which captured significant independent market share before he joined Cobb Europe to look after more African markets. In addition to his support, specialist technical support will be provided by Cobb Europe in nutrition, veterinary, hatchery, broilers and ventilation. The South African market has experienced good growth over the past three years.
