Dindings Tyson invests in SmartPro™ hatchery technology
6 SmartSetPro™ setters at 115,200 eggs, and 6 SmartHatchPro™ hatchers at 19,200 eggsLeading Malaysian poultry integrator, Dindings Tyson, has invested in expanding its hatchery and poultry development center in Lumut, Perak Darul Ridzuan – four years after installing Royal Pas Reform’s most advanced single-stage incubation technologies for the first time.
In this phase-two development, Dindings Tyson is extending its operation with six SmartSetPro™ setters, with a capacity of 115,200 hen eggs, and six SmartHatchPro™ hatchers, with a capacity of 19,200 hen eggs. Installation, which includes hatchery climate control, is scheduled for January 2024.
The setters will incorporate Adaptive Metabolic Feedback (AMF™) to fine-tune incubation environments to the needs of the growing embryos and Energy Saving Modules (ESM™) to reduce energy consumption. The hatchers are equipped with SmartWatch™, to deliver fine ventilation control for a reduced hatch window, and Microban® incorporated in the hatcher baskets.
Dindings Tyson puts a special focus on bio security and hygiene, and it adopts industry-leading technology to ensure the best possible standards are achieved. This ensures that the strict health protocols for HALAL certification by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) are complied with. Royal Pas Reform’s equipment is specifically designed to meet the stringent hygienic requirements of the modern hatchery.
With compartmentalized sensors, modular hatchers to prevent cross contamination, the incorporation of Microban® antibacterial protection into the hatcher baskets, and integrated cooling pipes in anodized aluminium hatcher walls, the time required to clean the incubators thoroughly is the shortest in the industry.
Founded in 1985, Dindings Tyson is a comprehensive end-to-end poultry integration – encompassing feed mills, hatcheries, breeder farms, broiler farms and poultry processing plants. Operating under the management of Malayan Flour Mills Bhd (MFM), it is among the leaders in the Malaysian poultry industry – manufacturing food exclusively in Malaysia for both the domestic market and export consumption under the brand name Ayam Dindings.
“Working with Royal Pas Reform again on our latest hatchery expansion was a natural choice for us,” says Dinding’s Senior Farm Manager, Mr Danang Antariksa Wardani. “Over the past four years, the first installation has delivered excellent performance and given us confidence to commit to further expansion in the region.”
Commenting on this prestigious expansion project, Bas Kanters, Royal Pas Reform’s Sales Director for Asia, says: “Dindings Tyson has ambitious growth plans for its markets in Malaysia and beyond. Successful delivery of these plans is underpinned by the requirement for trusted, market-leading advanced hatchery technologies. Royal Pas Reform is proud to be able to provide our customer with business support again for this exacting project.”
