Acolid holds celebration for the opening of new hatchery
The Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, governmental bodies and officials and private Jordanian poultry companies attended the hatchery openingAcolid, Aviagen®’s Indian River® Parent Stock (PS) distributor in Jordan, recently celebrated the opening of their new hatchery.
Acolid has been the Indian River distributor in the market for 38 years and recognizes the importance in supporting the local poultry industry and ensuring food security within the country.
The Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, Governmental bodies and officials, and private Jordanian poultry companies were all in attendance at the hatchery opening. This project is of great importance to the Jordanian market, and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology in order to provide the highest quality chicks to local producers. The hatchery has a capacity of 2 million PS chicks annually, which allows for around 75% of the local market requirements.
Mohammed Mirza Jasim, Deputy Director General, Acolid, highlighted the importance of the new hatchery investment, “Our new hatchery will assist with the increasing demand for quality breeding stock and will allows us to continue to provide a sustainable source of protein to the local market.
